What makes Bibione so special? An uninterrupted 11.5 km stretch of golden beach, made of incredibly fine and soft sand deposited by the Tagliamento, an Alpine river of such broad biodiversity that it is considered to be one of a kind. This unique feature, in addition to the scale and depth of the shoreline, makes Bibione rich with valuable natural resources, to be preserved and enhanced as much as possible. The broad stretch of beach has the characteristic of being completely South-facing: guaranteeing constant sun exposure from morning until evening. Furthermore, the seabed drops away very gradually, making it safe for children. The coastline has many welcoming and well-looked after beach establishments, offering play areas for children free of charge. There are 22 lifeguard stations equipped with rowing boats and jet boats, guaranteeing the safety of bathers. The beach also has an accident and emergency station complete with a defibrillator and specialised medical staff offering immediate care and attention.
